Spiral Twists is a digital gallery of my work as a potter. I chose the name for the many spirals found in nature especially those that form in the clay as it is wedged using a technique known as spiral wedging.

I fell in love with clay the first time I touched it. Working with my hands and feeling the earth strengthens my connection with nature, my source of inspiration. Most of my work is wheel thrown stoneware fired in wood kilns where salt or soda are introduced. The process of creating is one of constant discovery and learning. My creative journey continues to unfold in art as well as life.
